Jinhua NO.8 Middle School was established in 1986. The school campus, though not very big, enjoys a good location which has convenient transportation and agreeable surroundings. It has such honors as the second-class key school, school for traditional sports programs, one of the first EPD Project schools approved by UNESCO in Zhejiang province. It has been entitled as “Provincial experimental school of modern technology” and “Provincial advanced unit in teaching and research.”

The School, located in Jinhua Jiangnan Economic Zone, lies on the bank of Wu River, facing Shuanglong Bridge. It is cradled in a lovely landscape in the central part of the city. Beautiful and quiet, it is a good place to study.  Now it comprises 30 classes and has a strong teaching staff: 34 have senior teacher titles and 60 have professional titles of middle rank.  The school has many modern teaching facilities: Teaching Buildings, Science Building, Sports and Art Center, Library, Students’ Flats, Multi-functional Dining Hall, Multi-media Reporting Hall, Wide Band On-campus Internet, Multi-media Classrooms and the closed-circuit television system.
